Indian police continue to pursue OneCoin without an actual trial. It is a ‘digital currency’ investment scheme that is a scam, they say.
Last month, Indian undercover police attended a OneCoin seminar. After sitting through, police arrested 18 people.
“The money trail of the one coin scam led us to two accounts named Premium payment solution,” an official was reported as saying. “One account had ₹19 crore and the other ₹5 crore.”
The Indian police have now arrested people and confiscated money – all without a trial. It seems like regulation run amuck.
If people are doing something wrong, they should be given a trial, not just prosecuted as the result of a regulatory decision.
